Recently a Christian celebrity erroneously declared his annihilationist view of Hell and that the wicked and the non-believers will simply cease to exist after death. His belief completely contradicts scriptures and the Lord Himself who declared the reality of Hell, its fire and its torments. Did He not descend into Hades, a chamber in close proximity to Hell itself, to set the Old Testament saints free after His resurrection? That Believer is cherry picking scriptures to fit his own misunderstanding and mindset. Hopefully he will recant at the risk of misleading others into a state of apostasy and Hell itself.
For you who believe the same thing, ask yourself these 2 questions: If there is no Hell, why is there judgment after death? And if there is judgment, what do scriptures teach about its consequences? The answers are found in the Holy Bible.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Heb. 9:27)
