Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun. (Eccl. 11:7)
Pleasant Is The Sun!
In the very early morning hours, a beautiful sunrise was shown in a vision. The bright rays of the sun could be seen shining just above the horizon as a new day was about to begin on this darkened planet.
Shedding Light on the Vision
The sunrise symbolizes the Lord’s supernatural intervention for a world sleeping in darkness. As an idiom the words ‘something is on the horizon,’ means that something is certainly going to happen or be done soon. And because this particular sunrise began to appear over the earth, this vision means that the Lord’s return is on the horizon.
Peter and the Day Star
In 2 Peter 1:14-21, Apostle Peter foreshadowing his own death, disclosed that he had witnessed Jesus’ majesty. He was referring to the Lord’s glorious transfiguration on the Mount when His face shone like the Sun and His raiment became white as Light. Peter furthermore compared Jesus to a Day Star (the Sun) that would come in power! Most importantly, he wrote an important clue describing that a day would come when the Day Star would arise in Believers’ hearts. In combination with other contextual scriptures, that day most prominently points to a specific time and event when we too will be transfigured like Him. (1 Jn. 3:2; 2 Cor. 3:18) It’s a phenomenal and supernatural event that is commonly known as the Rapture or the great ‘snatching away’. For those who not believe, I am hearing the Words: “Believe It!”
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we make known unto you the Power and Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his Majesty.…..We have also a more sure Word of Prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the Day Star arise in your hearts. (2 Pet. 1:19)
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Cor. 15:51-52)
Keep Looking Up!
Yes, the world sleeps in the deep darkness of unbelief, immorality, lawlessness, ungodliness: apostasy! Let us not be like the foolish sleeping virgins who missed the call; instead let us remain wise and awake with our eyes looking heavenward and locked on the majestic Sun of Righteousness. (Mat. 25:1-13) Let us wait for that glorious Day Star whose transformative countenance is brighter than myriads of suns. Whose Light will destroy the darkness of this earth in preparation for the New Kingdom. Until that great day let the Light of the Spirit-filled Gospel written by holy men of GOD, continue to enliven and enlighten our hearts! Something awesome is surely on the horizon, something awesome this way comes in an unprecedented manner. And it is the Son of the living GOD: the Light of the world Jesus Christ!
Inhabitants of the earth, prepare yourselves for the greatest Light ever because just as sure as the sun rises from the East and sets in the West, so will the coming of the Son of man be. And at that time, His powerful supernatural cosmic Light will twinkle in the eye of the faithful Beholder when He returns at lightning speed! (1 Cor. 15:51-52, Mat. 24:27) I do not know the date nor the day that it will happen but it will happen. It’s on the horizon! There is no doubt about that!
For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Mat. 24:27)
