JESUS SAID TO HIS APOSTLES TAKE THESE STONES AND PLACE THEM UPON THE TABLES OF YOUR HEART.  (Spoken Words of Knowledge @2003)

It was recognized that the stones were ancient tablets upon which was inscribed the Mosaic Law; most specifically referring to the 10 commandments.  Here the Holy Spirit was teaching that – ages later – Jesus had declared to His Apostles that observance of the law was meant to be recognized on the inner tables of human hearts. Not through the outward observance of religious laws.  In this is also seen Jeremiah’s prophecy foretelling the implementation of a New Covenant ages before Jesus’ advent on earth:

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah – not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”  (Jer. 31:31-34)

The inscription of the law on the fabric of human minds and hearts is made possible through the ministering of the Holy Spirit accorded to Believers through the blood sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Just as the temple veil was torn in two from top to bottom signifying a way between heaven and earth had been opened for us, so it is that the Lord Jesus Christ has also opened a new consciousness. A new way by which Believers can now accommodate GOD’s laws:

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. (Heb. 9:13-15)

Following Jesus’ Crucifixion, the Adamic debt was paid in full.  Subsequently, GOD not wanting to leave us comfortless, now sends the Teacher – the Holy Spirit – to inspire and to guide Believers to fulfill HIS laws in a new and better way. In a way that is only made possible through faith and belief in GOD’s plan of redemption and a sound spiritual understanding (in the mind) of HIS Word (in the fertile grounds of the heart).  In a way that is still not well understood by many – including Christians and Jews. In a way that will tragically prove to be a prophetic latter-day stumbling block until the time of fulfillment for the Jewish nation – any nation – who refuses to honor GOD and accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah. For those having scriptural discernment, consider that the ark of the covenant which stored the tablets of the 10 commandments (Ex. 25:16) is now the human mind and heart which has been sprinkled by the redeeming blood of the Lamb.

“Do you not know that you are the temple and that the Spirit of GOD lives inside of you.”  (Apostle Paul)

Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” (2 Cor. 3:3)

Vision: A reverberating heart that is increasing in size has been shown. This signifies that Jesus codified the entire law of the prophets on the two greatest commandment: To love GOD with all our minds, hearts and souls, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Mat. 22-37-38; Jn.13:34) That the heart is increasing in size means that a greater understanding of this law is taking effect and will increasingly and uniquely manifest in faithful Believers:

“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. “ (Heb. 8:7-13)
