Vision
During prayer recently a vision of a candle shining bright set in some type of bowl on top of a table was shown.
Interpretation
It was quickly recognized that the vision related to the sermon Jesus delivered on the Mount. In these teachings Jesus hilighted virtues and values that reverse worldly standards. Most specifically the vision related to the following verses:
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Mat. 5:13:16)
While wondering what the bowl represented, the Word Support was spoken. Then I understood. The stabilizing bowl symbolically contains the oil that sustains, fortifies and keeps the candle lit. By analogy, it is like the Menorah bowls in the Holy Place which contained pure and consecrated olive oil. And it symbolically represents a profound biblical truth. Like crushed olives, GOD’S heavenly and precious anointing oil is released most often into and through Believers when there is a heavy pressing and a breaking of self. And just how beautifully meaningful is that considering that these verses were spoken by Jesus Himself on the Mount of…Olives!
Faithful Believers are called to let the consecrated and pure light of the gospel and of the Holy Spirit shine bright with whatever gifts that have been entrusted unto them. And to illuminate this dark, crooked and perverted world with New Kingdom values and virtues! Praise the Lord and thank you Jesus Christ.
